This feature is only available to users with a Team Plan and higher.
First, click CREATE and select a template.
You will see a tool icon in the top right corner of the template thumbnail. Click this icon to customize the template
You will receive a pop-up, click 'Continue' to edit and customize the template.
*You need to be an admin to have access to customize the template, otherwise you will be prompted to contact your account manager or admin, in order to continue.
Once in the Custom Template Editor you will be able to adjust the settings according to your preferences
You can choose to adjust the Custom Template Editor settings at this time or adjust them later. If you close the template settings, you will go back to the Editor.
Please note that our Custom Template Editor looks similar to the regular editor, with three additional icons- Settings, Save, and Publish.
Click Settings to edit. Once the Custom Template Editor opens, you can name your custom template, and select three font choices, color palette, background color, and a slide background image.
The color palette that appears is the default color palette of the existing template selected.
To change the color palette options, click on the color box and select the colors of your choice. You can also add colors by selecting the + sign.
To remove colors click the trash can option.
Please note that depending on the template you choose you will have a specific number of boxes that must be defined in the template to accommodate all of the shapes and images that the template contains.
To change the background color, click on the color box and select the color of your choice.
Add in a slide background image by browsing your computer for a select image that will appear in your slide background.
If there is a default background image for the template that you'd like to alter or adjust to your specifications, we offer you the ability to do so.
First, download it to your computer by clicking "download this image". Then edit the image in an image-altering platform. Finally, upload the perfected image as your background image.
To save your changes select Apply.
The objects in the template, such as text, shapes, and background will automatically change to your new custom settings.
Once you have changed the custom settings, you can continue to change the layouts of each of the slides, as well as other elements, colors, and more.
Make sure to save your new custom template from here (unlike in the regular emaze Editor where it is in the menu on the right).
Before you publish your new custom template, you can find it in "Create New" at the very top of My Templates. If you wish, you can click this icon to restore the presentation to how it was before you made custom changes.
When you are finished with all of your changes and are ready to publish your custom template, click the Publish icon.
The next time you want to make a presentation using your custom template, go into Create and select Presentation.
From there, you will see your new custom template in the My Templates section at the top. Click Edit to create a presentation with the template. Other members of your team will also see this custom template when they go to create a new presentation.
Note what you can do with the template from these 3 icons (edit, duplicate, and delete).
