Find out how to add and use shapes to make your Emaze content stand out!
Adding a Shape
- Click Shape at the top of the editor.
- A drop-down menu will open with all of the various shape options. Click on a shape and the shape will be added to the slide. Don't forget to scroll, so as to see all of your shape choices!
- Once a shape has been added, the Shape toolbar will appear at the top of the slide.
With the SHAPE toolbar, you can change the shape's color, size, add effects, etc. Edit the shape by selecting the shape. If you have just added a new shape it will automatically be selected.
Style: Changes the background colors, and adds borders.
Shape Color: Changes the fill color of the shape.
Stroke width: Sets the border width.
Stroke Color: Sets the border color.
Effect: Sets special effects to the shape.
Opacity: Sets the opaqueness of the shape.
Hyperlink: Adds a hyperlink to a shape.
Target: Turns your shape into a target that can be hyperlinked.
Audio: Adds audio to your shape.
Arrange: Arranges the shape in relation to other objects on the slide.
Lock: Locks the shape so that it cannot be moved or deleted.
Rotate: Rotates the shape.
3D: Apply 3D motions to the shape.
Copy, Paste, and Delete a Shape
Copy: Select the shape and press Copy or Ctrl+C
Paste: Press Paste or Ctrl+V to paste your copied shape
Delete: Select the shape and press Delete or the delete keyboard button
Select multiple shapes by keeping the left mouse button pressed, and dragging the mouse around the shape (objects) that you want to select. You can then copy, paste, or delete the selected objects.
Please note that you can copy and paste within the same slide, onto a different slide, and even to a different slide in another presentation.
Moving Shapes
Select the shape. With the left mouse button pressed, drag the selected shape. You can also use the keyboard arrow buttons. For more exact positioning use the Ctrl + keyboard arrow buttons.
Select multiple shapes by keeping the left mouse button pressed, and dragging the mouse around the shape that you want to select. You can then move the selected shapes.
